of the Heathland Stable is a small appaloosa stud farm in Elspeet.(the Netherlands)
An introduction of myself; I am Izaak Frens and the owner of ‘of the Heathland Stable’. I follow an education HRM weekdays, I spend the rest of my time at training and care of my horses.
History During the years we always had some ponies. From a New Forest to an Haflinger. But I always would have an appaloosa. Finally I get an appaloosa mare of acquaintances in 2004. These mare doesn’t had any registration papers, I called her Trainsmore. She gives about 1.04 m.
At first my target was to breed just nice foals. I get my First foal of Trainsmore at 13 March 2007. It was a beautiful appaloosa stallion. The Sire was an appaloosa stallion also without papers.
The next year I couldn’t found a stallion for Trainsmore. And the Sire of Pakito was sold.
In 2008 Trainsmore was serviced by a black Shethland stallion. But I would have an own stallion. After days of surfing at the Internet, I found an appaloosa stallion. I have bought these stallion at September 2008.
These ’Advent Silver of the Rovers Inn’(picture) was registered by the NAS(Dutch appaloosa studbook). His Sire is Rascal van de Hoeve. His Sire of Dam is Rocky van de Hoeve.
From that moment I am more absorbed at the appaloosa studbook
The origin of the studname About until 1940 there was heathland on the place where of the Heathland Stable is seateld. So, I wouls like to have an name with heathland. For me, it wasn’t difficult to found ’of the Heathland Stable’.
All foals that are born after 2008 gets the studname into the names. Of the Heatland Stable starts the foalnames with a different letter every single year. On alphabetical order starting with the S in 2009.
Sapphire Stables Besides I bought an 1.65m appaloosa mare in 2009. With this I created a new studname for appaloosas within 1.65 and 1.75 metres. Namely Sapphire Stables. Click here to go to the website of Sapphire Stables.
